We believe in a culture of appreciation
At The Family Counseling Center, we recognize that the work we do has a positive impact in the lives of our clients. We also recognize that the same work can drain the emotional well of our staff.
Every day we try to ensure a culture of appreciation runs throughout our organization in order to refill that well as much as possible.
Our success would not be possible without the dedicated and talented staff we have – from our front office team to our clinicians to our school-based counselors, and more. Taking the opportunity to say “thank you” to our team as often as possible and in as many ways as possible is important.
Each month we set-up an engagement calendar – opportunities for staff to laugh, celebrate, and learn together.
Over the course of a year, we will have food-focused days like January’s Bagel Day, April’s Grilled Cheese Day, and February’s SOUPer Bowl – our staff soup and chili cook-off competition. It isn’t just food – we have had scavenger hunts, cornhole tournaments, and even host a monthly book club. In 2023, we are introducing quarterly celebrations where we take a breather to recognizing and celebrate each other’s milestones and accomplishments and give out some great swag too.
