A note from our Executive Director
Busy bees
Every day our staff work tirelessly to ensure our clients and our community are assisted in their journey to health. Our Front Office staff are our front-line in this work. Our therapists, Drop-In staff, School-Based Counselors, DV Program staff, and so many others dedicate themselves to making our loved ones, neighbors, and friends feel comfortable, empowered, and able to face the challenges of their lives.
Often, there is work that is not seen but vital to our organization including grant writing, organizational planning, financial monitoring, and so much more. This spring, we have been making strides in these quiet areas. On March 21st, our Finance Director Shelby Mead was recognized by the Fulton Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce as the Young Professional of the Year. Shelby’s dedication and professionalism astounds us and we are very very lucky to have her as part of the team.
We’ve also recently been recognized by local news outlets. Below is a piece that aired on Spectrum News focusing on our organization, our approach to care, and the issues many communities face across the state. We are excited to share the story of our work with communities near and far.
Thank you for your continued support of The Family Counseling Center. Your advocacy, donations, and belief in our mission mean the world not only to me, but to our community as a whole.
Best wishes,
Michael Countryman
