December eNewsletter

A note from our Executive Director

A look back and a look forward

December is always a busy month. We have holidays that pop-up sooner than we realize, gifts and gatherings, baking and eating to do. It can mean that we take time to reflect on all that has happened to us in the past year, and make us look forward to the things we want to accomplish in the coming months. I’m sure you will agree with me when I say that every year seems to be busier, faster, and more full – full of stress and full of opportunities.

During the course of 2023, The Family Counseling Center has seen a tremendous amount of change. We have evaluated our programs, our operations, how we reach out to our clients and our community, and so many more items on our to-do list. We’ve also begun to look toward the future. Over the last few months especially, we have applied for an Article 32 License which will allow us to provide addiction services and we are in the process of launching a Drop-In Services Clinic for easier access to immediate mental health care. There are more programs and opportunities in the near future and we are excited to be able to share with you, and our community, the programs we have to offer.

Our work would not be possible without your support. During this Season of Giving, I ask that you consider donating to The Family Counseling Center. Your donations have a direct impact in the lives of our clients, their families, and our community as a whole. Your donations provide services, care, and programming that help clients become empowered and able to self-advocate for their healthiest life. Your donations help to continue our legacy of work helping neighbors in need. Thank you for your donations.

Best wishes,

Michael

Holidays can bring stress, anxiety, and grief

We recognize that for many of us, the Holiday Season can bring on a whole set of anxieties, depression, and grief. Over the last few years, we have worked with therapists at The Family Counseling Center to offer advice on how to deal with the emotional strains we may feel during this time.

Please consider including us in your Year-End Giving

As we begin to wrap up 2023, we ask that you please consider including The Family Counseling Center on your giving list. Your donations have a direct impact in our community as a whole.
