A note from our Executive Director
Summer Fun
The last days of summer often mean a rush to enjoy as much fun and sun as possible. We are no different and over the course of this summer we have tried to bring as much fun and joy to our staff as possible. Activities included National Milkshake Day, a Mac ‘n Cheese staff cookoff, and so much more. Throughout the year, we try to replenish their emotional wells with moments of appreciation, care, and fun. Read more about our engagement activities in this issue.
Summer may be drawing to a close but there are so many great things coming for our organization! September will bring our Fall Fundraising Gala – a chance to catch-up with our friends and supporters and raise funds for programming. This year’s Gala will be held on Thursday, September 28th at Lanzi’s on the Lake. We have more details about the event, how you can become a sponsor or purchase your tickets below!
As always, I cannot express enough how grateful we are to you, our partners and our donors. Your support allows us to work with 4,500 clients a year. Thank you.
Best wishes,
Michael
Fun at Work
Our staff work in a field that can be both emotionally and physically draining. It is a side effect of how deeply they care for our clients and the goals those clients are working toward achieving. Because of this, our leadership focuses on care, appreciation, and fun throughout the month.
Save the Date!
We are excited to welcome you to our second Fall Fundraising Gala! Last year we shared our agency’s story with over 170 neighbors, partners, and friends – We cannot wait to see what this year’s event will bring!
This year we honor Andy Gilpin, Executive Director of CAPTAIN Community Human Services and Geoffrey Peck, Vice President and Executive Director of the Nathan Littauer Foundation.
