Working to meet the needs of our community

Summer seems to go by more and more quickly each year and this year is no exception. Here we are in August and, for most of us, our thoughts are on September, the new school year, and for our team the upcoming Fall Gala which will be held on September 29th (more details below).

So often we rush through each moment of the year. We are busy getting ready for the changes that are about to come rather than taking a moment to savor the moment we are in. In the last few, precious weeks of summer, I ask that you take a moment to stop and feel the sunshine on your face, breathe in the smell of freshly cut grass or lake air, and celebrate the fact that summer is here. It is something I need to do more often myself.

As summer draws to a close so too does our Summer Fundraising Appeal. If you have not given yet, here is the link to our online donation form. 988 National Prevention Hotline

On July 16th, the nation transitioned to using the 988 dialing code, strengthening and expanding the current National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Callers will be connected to compassionate, accessible care and support when experiencing any mental health related distress – whether that is thoughts of suicide, mental health or substance use crisis, or any other kind of emotional distress. People can also dial 988 if they are worried about a loved one who may need crisis support.

Join us for our Fall Gala!

We are excited to announce our upcoming Fall Gala will be held on Thursday, September 29th at our newly expanded and renovated Broadway office. The evening will also honor two amazing women who have dedicated their talents to the communities in which we work.
