We are excited to announce our first-ever fundraising gala event!

Join us on Thursday, September 29th for a celebration of The Family Counseling Center, the work we do, and the people who help make it possible. The Fall Gala highlights not only our people but also our home. We will be hosting our Fall Gala at The Family Counseling Center’s newly renovated and expanded Broadway location – an amazing project that puts collaborative client care at its core.

This year we also honor two members of our community whose tireless dedication to clients, to our organization, and to our partner organizations is something spectacular.

The Dr. David and Ann Lee Clough Award recognizes an individual or group for exceptional contributions to the field of behavioral health and is given to an outstanding individual or group who has demonstrated continued excellence in direct or indirect services to behavioral health or care of children. The 2022 honoree is Janine Dykeman, Executive Director of The Mental Health Association of Fulton and Montgomery Counties.

The Mary Ann Harzinski Outstanding Community Service Award honors the legacy of Mary Ann Harzinski, a dedicated teacher and long-time member of The Family Counseling Center Board of Directors. The award is given to an individual or organization who has a recognized record of volunteerism across organizations or has worked in close partnership with organizations. The 2022 honoree is Denise Walsh, the current Secretary of the organization’s Board of Directors, close friend of Mary Ann Harzinski and volunteer of The Family Counseling Center for over 22 years.

First large event since the pandemic?

We have options to help you feel more comfortable. Masks are optional and we will have a large tent for seating outside. In addition, there will be a lot of space to move around inside of the building.

The dinner will be served outside under a walled tent. We are positive the weather is going to be perfect – but it is autumn in upstate New York. Please bring a light jacket or shawl just in case you get a little chilly.

Wondering what to wear?

Our Gala isn’t black tie so don’t worry. Feel free to dress in business attire.
