A note from our Executive Director
September Rush
Summer has quickly come to an end and, with it, the rush of September begins. It’s time to get kids up and off to school, to practice, to friend’s houses, and back to bed at a reasonable time. September can seem like an autumn-colored blur.
If you are feeling like you may need to take a break from the rush and looking to spend a night out with friends, might I suggest joining us at our Fall Gala on Thursday, September 28th? The RSVP deadline is tomorrow, September 8th so please fill out the ticket link here!
As always, I cannot express enough how grateful we are to you, our partners and our donors. Your support allows us to work with 4,500 clients a year. Thank you.
Best wishes,
Michael
Advice on Return to School
School’s start this week brings a mixture of both excitement and anxiety for children and their families. Across the nation, healthcare professionals have seen an increase in anxiety, depression, and fear from children over the course of the pandemic. The Family Counseling Center recognizes there is often a heightened mix of feelings from children in advance of the new school year and is offering some advice for area parents.
The time is fast approaching for us to end ticket sales for our September 28th Gala – but you can still by tickets here!
