Crisis Services at TFCC aims to provide support to community members seeking immediate mental health or substance use services. The program allows individuals to address their most immediate mental-health concerns through Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a goal-directed therapeutic approach that focuses on solutions rather than problems.
Crisis Services are:
- Open to all – Individuals can come without appointments or long wait-times.
- Solution-Focused – Counselors use SFBT to create a goal-oriented plan to address the individual’s immediate mental health or substance use concerns.
- Collaborative – Clients and counselors work together to identify issues of concern and finding solutions.
- Strengths-Based – Counselors work to recognize the client’s strengths and resources rather than solely focusing on problems.
- Follow-Up and Referral – Depending on the client’s needs, the counselor may refer them for ongoing support through our Clinic.
Crisis Services at TFCC works with clients to feel empowered in their mental health or substance use recovery journey, providing them with the tools to become more self-reliant and resourceful when facing challenges.
