Internships & Field Placements

At The Family Counseling Center, we are proud to help shape the next generation of mental health and human services professionals through meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.

Our well-established Master’s-level therapy internships program provides students with the opportunity to gain real-world clinical experience in a supportive, community-focused environment. Interns work alongside experienced professionals while developing the skills, confidence, and compassion needed to make a lasting impact in the lives of others.

As our organization continues to grow, we are expanding internship and field placement opportunities into additional departments and service areas.

We currently partner with 11 colleges and universities for field placements, including:

University at Albany
SUNY Plattsburgh
SUNY Fulton-Montgomery Community College
Utica University
The Chicago School

Many students seek out placements with our agency because of our strong reputation for mentorship, professional development, and community impact.

Internship opportunities may be posted through university career platforms, including Handshake when available.
