Expanding Access to Behavioral Health Care
The Family Counseling Center is proud to be a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC)
CCBHCs are specially designated behavioral health organizations that meet high national standards for providing comprehensive, accessible, and coordinated mental health and substance use services. That goal of the CCBHC model is simple: to ensure that everyone in the community can access high-quality behavioral healthcare when they need it.
Why Did We Become a CCBHC?
Our mission has always been to provide compassionate, person-centered care that meets the needs of individuals and families throughout our community. Becoming a CCBHC allows us to expand that mission by increasing access to services, strengthening partnerships with community organizations, and enhancing the quality and coordination of care we provide.
This certification recognizes our commitment to meeting rigorous standards for care, accountability, accessibility, and patient outcomes.
What Does This Mean for You?
For clients and families, CCBHC certification means:
- Improved access to care, including more timely appointments and support.
- Comprehensive services that address mental health, substance use, and overall wellness.
- Coordinated care that connects behavioral health services with primary care, schools, hospitals, and other community resources when appropriate.
- Person-centered treatment that focuses on your unique needs, goals, strengths, and preferences.
- A commitment to quality, ensuring services are evidence-based, effective, and continuously improving.
Simply put, it means you’ll have greater access to the support you need, delivered by a team dedicated to helping you achieve your goals.
What Does This Mean for Our Clinic?
As a CCBHC, we are held to high standards for service delivery, quality improvement, and community engagement. This certification allows us to continue investing in our programs, staff, technology, and partnerships so we can better serve the people who rely on us.
It also strengthens our ability to provide integrated, coordinated care that addresses the full range of behavioral health needs across the lifespan.
What Does This Mean for Our Community?
Behavioral health challenges affect individuals, families, schools, workplaces, and communities. CCBHCs are designed to strengthen the entire system of care by improving access to treatment and reducing barriers that can prevent people from getting help.
For our community, this means:
- Greater availability of behavioral health services
- Stronger partnerships among healthcare providers, schools, social service agencies, and community organizations.
- Improved support for individuals experiencing mental health or substance use challenges.
- Earlier intervention and prevention services.
- A healthier, more resilient community overall.
Why Is This Important?
When people can access care more easily, receive support sooner, and connect with services that meet their needs, outcomes improve for everyone.
Our CCBHC certification reflects our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, accessible behavioral healthcare and ensuring that individuals and families in our community have a trusted place to turn for support.
We are honored to serve our community and remain dedicated to helping every person who walks through our doors find hope, healing, and a path forward.
