The Family Counseling Center to Host Red Cross Blood Drive
The Family Counseling Center will host a Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. The blood drive comes at a time when blood banks across the country are facing a sharp decrease in donations.
Blood is a crucial component in many medical treatments. It is used in surgeries, to treat trauma patients, for those undergoing cancer treatment, and for individuals with chronic illnesses. According to the American Red Cross, someone in the United States needs blood every two seconds. Despite advancements in medicine, there is no substitute for human blood. One donation can save up to three lives.
“The Family Counseling Center is proud to partner with the American Red Cross for our ongoing blood drives,” stated Michael L. Countryman, Executive Director of The Family Counseling Center. “The demand for blood is constant. Communities and organizations play a pivotal role, contributing to a critical lifeline that supports the health and well-being of countless patients.”
The Family Counseling Center’s blood drive will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Donation times are still available. To schedule your donation, click here.
