July eNewsletter
A note from our Executive Director
Peak Summer
We’ve been very busy at The Family Counseling Center these past few weeks. We submitted our application to become a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic on July 1st – and it was like the biggest final exam we’ve ever taken…just in time for the end of the school year. We will share with you the outcome of our application when we hear, but in the mean time our organization’s leadership and staff are focused on creating the best future for The Family Counseling Center possible and the process of applying for the CCBHC has heightened that focus and the view of what is to come.
Summer also means the start of our planning for the Fall Gala. This year’s Gala will be held on Thursday, September 26th at Lanzi’s on the Lake. We are excited to announce that Rachel Truckenmiller, Executive Director of HFM Prevention Council will be honored with the Dr. David and Ann Lee Clough Award this year. The Mary Ann Harzinski Outstanding Community Service Award will be given to Donald Fleischut. Full details about the Gala is listed below.
Thank you for your continued support of The Family Counseling Center. Your advocacy, donations, and belief in our mission mean the world not only to me but to our community as a whole.
Best wishes,
Michael Countryman
Focusing on Farmer’s Health
Summer is a busy time for our area farmers – there is hay to cut, crops to care for, and animals to tend. The unique stressors farmers face can have a negative impact on their mental health.
