April eNewsletter
A note from our Executive Director
Finding new ways to grow
The Family Counseling Center, like mental health facilities across the country, are on an all-out search for qualified, dedicated, and talented therapy staff to join their teams. In an industry with a known deficit of clinicians, the search can be tough at times and we’ve gotten pretty creative.
Hiring Happy Hours
Recently, we hosted three Hiring Happy Hours across the Capital District in order to introduce mental health professionals to our organization, our culture of care, and strong staff engagement program. These events brought people together for some great food, lively conversation, and a few beers too!
Staff Engagement
The Family Counseling Center has always had a culture of care that reflected on our clients and their situations. Over the last two years we have made a strong effort to show the same level of care to our staff. A lively engagement calendar ensures that our team is brought together multiple times a month for events full of laughter, comradery, and food. Highlights include our annual Pi-Day Bakeoff, April 12’s recognition of National Grilled Cheese Day with Pete and I making gourmet grilled cheeses, and so much more.
This month’s eNewsletter is highlighting a few of the issues we face and the faces who have chosen to grow with The Family Counseling Center. Their support – and yours! – help us to provide the quality care to our community each and every day.
Best wishes,
Michael
