The Family Counseling Center Participates in #GivingTuesday
The Family Counseling Center will be participating in #GivingTuesday on November 29, 2022. #GivingTuesday is an international day of action that helps to raise funds for nonprofits and has become a major opportunity to engage community members in support of local organizations.
Nationwide, organizations like The Family Counseling Center have seen a 400% increase in demand for services. Emergency rooms, doctors’ offices, and schools have all seen increased incidents of crisis moments in children. The Family Counseling Center’s #GivingTuesday efforts will be focused on raising funds to help meet the needs of our community through the development of programming and expanding available services. Donations received on November 29th will go toward the organization’s efforts to eliminate the client waitlist for services and introduce Same Day Access programming – allowing staff to assess and on-board new clients within 24-hours of their initial call.
The Family Counseling Center is asking for the community’s help during #GivingTuesday in order to reach their goal of raising $2,000 during the course of November 29, 2022. The modest goal amount will have a lasting impact in the lives of clients able to access services faster than in the past.
“We are excited to participate in this year’s #GivingTuesday,” said Michael Countryman, Executive Director of The Family Counseling Center. “Our clients make courageous steps each day to build a healthy life. The ability of our organization to institute a Same Day Access program will meet that courage with a timely and compassionate response.”
