The Family Counseling Center announces organizational updates
The Family Counseling Center is announcing a series of organizational updates including the 2021/2022 Board of Directors and new faces on their leadership team.
The organization voted in the 2021/2022 Board of Directors at their June meeting, naming Michael Schaus, owner of WENT Radio as the Board’s President. A full list of board members includes:

In addition to the new slate of Board members, The Family Counseling Center is proud to announce the promotion of two employees to the role of director.
Sheila Wood now holds the role of Children & Family Services Director. Wood has a BS in Human Development and joined the agency in 2020 as the Mobile Crisis Program Manager. She brings over 20 years of work with both children and adults who have emotional and developmental needs. Wood’s career has encompassed working under the auspices of the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, Department of Health, Office of Mental Health, and Office of Children and Family Services in addition to the Juvenile Justice System.
Justine Maier, LCSW-R has been named Clinic Director. Maier joined the agency in 2021 as a Clinic Supervisor and specializes in working with youth and families who have experienced significant trauma with a focus on family reunification/permanency planning and juvenile justice issues. Maier has experience working in community, residential, and outpatient treatment settings.
