April 2021 Enewsletter
We’ve come so far! Here’s the latest update on our expansion project
Welcome to our NEW monthly newsletter
The Family Counseling Center is happy to welcome you to our NEW monthly newsletter. Each month we will share with you the highlights of the work we are doing, the people who make our services possible, and the community we hold dear.
In this issue, we are going to be sharing highlights of our building expansion and renovation and the Building a Healthy Community campaign.
A note from our Executive Director
The Family Counseling Center has been very busy this past year.
When COVID restrictions hit, we quickly expanded our tele-health services in order to provide our clients with the quality care they need. We’ve also been busy working on the expansion and renovation project at our 11-21 Broadway location. It’s hard to believe that preliminary site work began in March 2020 and we were able to start moving staff in and see some clients in the new 18,500 sq. ft. space in March 2021. With Phase I complete, we are now beginning Phase II – the renovation of our existing 9,000 sq. ft. building.
When the entire project is complete this autumn, we will have 27,500 sq. ft., allowing all of our clinical services, administrative offices, and a new substance abuse treatment clinic to be under one roof. The new floorplan integrates program supervisors with their staff and places Children’s Services and Health Coaching at the center to encourage cross-program dialogue.
We are excited to share with you more information about our project and the Building a Healthy Community campaign in the coming months. Check out our Facebook page and website to follow along in the adventure as we work to provide superior care to our community now and well into the future.
Best wishes and happy spring!
