Family Counseling Center Receives Generous Donation from NBT Bank

The Family Counseling Center has received a generous $10,000 donation from NBT Bank for their Building Healthy Communities campaign through their Foundation. The Building Healthy Communities campaign addresses a client wait list, creates new or strengthens existing programs, allows the organization to serve those who have no ability to pay for services, and contributes to the building of a centralized, state-of-the-art behavioral healthcare facility at the expanded Broadway location.

“We are delighted and thankful for the contribution from NBT toward our Building Health Communities campaign,” said Michael Countryman, Executive Director of The Family Counseling Center. “Their support of the work we do and the organization’s expansion will have a great impact in our community.”

Recently, The Family Counseling Center opened its doors to the Phase I 18,500 sq. foot addition to their 11-21 Broadway Street location. Phase II construction, the renovation of the organization’s existing 9,000 sq. foot building, will begin by the end of the month. The full project will triple the size of the facility, allowing for agency staff and administration to provide expanded mental health services, crisis services, addiction services, and primary care services under one roof at the Broadway location.
